What Are You Doing Up Here?

Heidi wanted to feel grateful but there was something about the gleam in his eye that made Heidi feel uneasy. Something stinketh and it’s not the odor of slop lingering on his clothing.
            

   “I like you Heidi.” Heidi awakened in an instant and her eyes opened wide. Why is Euwout sneaking around up here? He came closer and his grinning face seemed to be leering in the flickering candle light.  “You are sweet, and beautiful. “ Euwout set the candle on a nearby trunk and reached out to fondle her.
               Oh God, what am I to do? I dare not scream for help.
